I recently got a phone call from a new friend of mine who happens to be one of my biggest inspirations as a photographer. His name is Erik from Poser Image. His work is unreal. We have very similar styles as to what we enjoy shooting and how we like to show it. He called to ask if I would be interested in shooting his family portraits. He said he has been waiting for a photographer who he felt would accurately depict his family and that him and his wife Destiny would love to have me take their portraits. I was blown away. It was very humbling! I DO NOT contract family commissions, but I had to make an exception in this case.

Their family was way cool in every way. Erik is as intense as he looks but also really laid back, his wife Destiny is beautiful and so sweet. Avery was a joy and carries herself with a smile. River looks like a little stud in every photo. Roman cracks me up with all his faces and funny personality.

This shoot was a ton of fun. Paint was flying everywhere!

Cary and I hang out with these two more than anyone. They’d definitely be in our fave 5 if we had T-Mobile, but I think its a good thing we don’t Hayden and Emily are irreplaceable in our lives. They are our constant encouragement, accountability, and love. We couldn’t ask for more in friends. Life is so much better when you can share it with incredible people. We have some great memories with them and can’t wait to make more!

They were the first couple I ever photographed. After tons of shoots, it was time to retake their photos. Their session finishes off breckenridge. We WILL be back.

Our new awesome friends Jesse and Rachel made the trip with us to Breck. Jesse is an up and coming photographer who second shoots all my weddings with with me. So now you can put a face to the guy I always mention. He brought his rad wife on the snowboard trip. We were soo glad they came. They totally represented anything that would be cool about our group on the slopes. They wore the craziest stuff with colors you could see from a mile away. They are the type of people everyone wants to be around. They were a lot of fun! Looks like Rachel had a battle to settle with Jesse. Check it… (Sorry Jesse!)

Josh is one of the best artists I have ever come across. He paints with such PASSION. I get so fascinated watching him paint with a big brush in each hand as he puts together some of the most insane pieces of work. I shared my testimony in 2008 at a large youth conference that he was painting at. Kari Jobe was playing as he was painting and it was magic on the stage. PLEASE check out his work! Figure out how you can get his work on your wall. Or even better, hire him to paint on HUGE canvases as you are getting married. He is an awesome dude! Not only does every student in Texas like to hear “snow day”, but every teacher gets equally excited! Recently we had some of the most snow Texas has ever seen. Josh is an INCREDIBLE artist and I had a promo shoot planned with him the day after God dumped snow in DFW. So since his wife Kelly is teacher, and had no school, we went out for a session after I was done with his shoot.
